1989 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus MOON / FRSR / RMUM / etc HNHR MOON 31 Mar 1620 Hello holes - nothing. Very strange - one of the big downed limbs beside the tree burned - there's a perfect outline of ash in the grass. It burned between 1 r 2 weeks ago (can tell by grass, rain marks in ash). 3" ring of brown grass around ash, then grass green. Nothing else burned in area. Pig hunters? FRSR 14 Apr 1430 Checked the nest hole (up the hill From Box 340) doesn't look promising. However in the next tree over (S) there's a nice hole with an ACW Feather on it. I climbed - birds came + scolded me. But there's some Ramelina in it (but I couldn't see bottom. RMUM 14 Apr 1500 Hole empty + wet. I put in chips. RMUM 16 Apr 1030 There's a nice hole in a tree uphill and NW of the main tree. I peeped, but no chips. OUTB 16 Apr 1100 Door of "traditional" hole missing. Thores a newish low hole (W facing) in the huge (biggest ever) blue oak uphill. I peeped, but not any chips. OUTF (outFront) 16 Ap 1130. Between bbbox 107 v 108. Beautiful new hole W Facing near 107. Nearly completed. However, considering all the noise up here in the last weeks, I'd say there are [illegible] some new birds here. Do a nest watch b4 stealing, MOON 16 Apr 1800 Peeped holes - the hi cut out (87) has chips! MOON 18 Apr 1100 Was I dreaming? The hi hole has no chips.
