Lynn reports bird in high hole. 19 Mar 0830 Saw 1403 at PLAN; he went to r looked! in the platform hole. Another ♂ (maybe not from PLQE) was at PLAN proper. 27 Mar 0740-0800 Spy. 1 bird went to the 88 hole. Looked in, then moved on. Several starling intrusions - diff responses - sometimes chased - sometimes ignored. 29 Mar 1200 Bird in 88 hole (Lynn saw same the other day) 1615 Climb nest (1 bird protests) Fresh chips! 2 Apr Watt sets ambushes at low r hi hole. No one to low. Seems they're roosting in the low road hole. Would've made a nice nest. Cept la vie. Ambush 2-nite (3?) 3 Apr 1100 These are birds at PLAN, at least 3, and I don't think they're PLQE birds. 10 Apr Walt set ambush at hole in creek 13 Apr 0645-0720 Watch for nest. & disap twice in the direction of Griffins house r lab. Also I saw a copulation (effective?). At one point the ♀ displaced/chased another ACW, whereupon a br. towhee did a long midair dogfite. 0930 Thought I saw a bird flush from near 88 hole 14 Apr 0800 ♂ 1530 at Knol (badger snug) 15 Apr 0830, 1000 Bird at 88 hole. 1030 Climb. Egg #1. 1830 Set up mealworm feeder
