Formicivorus KOUT HNHR Dec 88 Acorn Count: 4100 (myst 1000) 21 Mar 0830: [illegible] Hello holes - nothing. 23 Mar 0905-0930: Spied: birds going to 2 places: 1) the new nice hole under construction in the W Facing Knub below the high hole where the door Fell out. 2) One of these low SW Facing cold holes in the same tree (the dead live oak) (Never actually saw birds at these holes - they were on onother side of tree) 28 Mar 1030 Bird in Low hole in dead tree (the one they laid 1 egg in last year) 29 Mar 0910 Saw 101b, 1668. There are some nice holes in the trees near the 88 nest tree. Hello holes - nothing. 1045 Saw 1668. Hello holes - nothing. 1 Apr 1010 Bird Flushed From low hole 3 Apr 0800 Saw 99 1668 1670 4 Apr 1730 Checked low hole - empty - not all that chippy. Hmm.) 10 Apr am hello holes - nada - Patti spy - nada 11 Apr 1450 Bird in the low knot-plus hole in the S most tree in the 88 nest tree bunch. 1600 I climb it - empty - and no chips either. The Knot hole itself opens on to the "nest chamber." I plugged it with duct tape. Great hole For Filming, 17 Apr 0740-0750. Got a hint to the high hole while spying (a bird was getting pecked near it) 0820-0840 Spy. Hints below hi hole. I climbed the pictured hole. Great shape - I'll bet they're egg tossing.
