In 88a tree, but also several trips to the summit tree. 1145-1205 Spy From OUTF. I got a hint towards the PO tree and a hint toward the "new" hole I recently cut. However, at 1205 a bird Flew to the lone tree and went into a hole on the underside of the 85 limb. 1210 Walked by, it - bird in hole. 1500 Well, that was unpleasant... It was too deep to peep, so I had to cut it open. Thick, ants, weird shape door... and empty. C'est la vie. 19 Apr 0725-0815 Spy. Bugger all. Not a thing. No interest in the lone tree hole - no hints. Just lots of Fly-catching (From the 88b branch), some Following, and several intrusions. I hellod holes afterwards - nothing. 27 Apr 1800 Finally! A bird Flushes From 88a hole! 28 Apr 1630 Check hole (no one in on arrival) empty and a very Few Fresh chips. 3 May 0900-0915 Spy on 88a tree. Nothing. Only hints were to summit. Hello'd all holes - nada. Climbed summit tree + checked the ! good hole there. OK shape - but nowhere near nest conditions. 4 May 1540 Quick hello - nada 8 May 0730 Hello 88a tree - nope. Patti watched here yesterday and saw no B9! So maybe, it's a Finch effect! 15 May 1400 Hello 88a +b From below : empty.
