Its clean, but I wouldn't bet on eggs tomorrow (no Fresh chips) 30 Apr Walt reports Egg #1. I roost watch. No one in. 1 May Danny reports 1 bird in hole at roosting. 5 May 0930 5 eggs 16 May 1830 still not hatched (eggs still there) 18 May 1600 Bird in hole, eggs warm and dead. Looks like infertile or death soon after all were laid. Hmm. 8 June 1100 Hollo'd holes - nothing. 22 acorus in W grid. Walt reports 1 egg 20 June pm. Danny does watch, reports feeding. Free-climbs the nest (over at the saddle) and finds 2 kids r 2 eggs (one felt "squishy"). What is going on here? 1 egg Walt? 21 June Indeed, 2 kids r 3 eggs. 25 June Walt reports that one of the kids is dead. The problem seems to be that there's an upper or lower chamber. (so poor incubation or brooding) 11 July 1000. I bared the one remaining nestling. This is the last baby of 1991.
