As the truffles of the Tufjan area as a rule will surround this engl. Should be a marine deposit. [illegible] The thickness of certain may hinder. [illegible] is supposed to be a stray marine deposit. I am not sure that we saw any granite pebbles, and if such are present the pieces are small and do not attract attention. Where this mass of volcanic truffles came from is a problem not easily to be answered. One looks first for the present dry land of N.B. See the finds only the Tufjan, and the sample of Tufjan engl.
