New Haven, Conn., July 10 1929 About 7.45 A.M. Am Carlson was before my home with his Lizzy and in a bright warm day we are off for the Saratoga county. We mistred through Williamstown, Danville, Putnam, Delton, to Broceton Man where we had lunch. At 12.45 we are off again through Clinton, Lawrence, Lawrence, Starahill, Cerresting to Ports- onmouth where we registered at the Reddingham Hotel at 5.15 P.M. Here we will stay for the night. Joras at this good hotel came gears up and liked it very much, quiet and reserved. Came 201 miles Lincoln, Maine, July 11-1929 Left Portsmouth at 8 A.M. for Portland, and then through Lewiston and Augusta where we had lunch. Then onto Waterville where we examined for a half hour the Lillarian Silly State, and for three pieces with Meritshirts. Then through Chewport to Bangor and then up to Penobscot Valley to Lin- coln where we put up at the Lincoln House for the night. Came 241 miles today. I was here three years ago with Dr. Keith on his earthquake investigation trip throughout Maine.
