August 25 - continued with an arch that farther south must be faulted with the Devonian farther south. The Silurian then lies unconformably on the various members of the Ordovician. It begins with the white and fine quartzites that are frondiforous toward the top, and about 60 feet thick. Then follows the ls that are terminated by the grapholite sandstone sk. How thick the Silurian above the quartzites in one could not determine but may exceed 100 feet. Then follows the ls caye, apparently introducing the Devonian, but as yet we do not know if the Heldeu- terian is present, but I rather think we may find it somewhere on Aug 26 - other the conclusion was found in me). I rather expect the Silurian to pinch out toward the south. It is not known at our Oratophelia and how far over the Por Daniel - Black Cape series are in my column. There is perhaps a land barrier between them. The Helderian if present goes across the entire person. Give since it is once developed to the early Orato- pedia. {all @ Devonian and / my Barless} The Lower Devonian is the dominant formation of the Oratophelia really, but how much of the Barke SS is pre- sent was yet unknown. I had a very successful day.
