August 10, 1929 continued. W.E trans Malta. They appear to unconformably overlie the Richmond. Towards the Coupe appears the Richmondian, which dips in reverse direction = inland towards the south and in this direction the Rich. becomes one and one third bedded ls. As the syncline is returned one descends into the Richmondian in accordance with Coupe. At the broad if te Coupe the Rich. dips stuff inland and it is from here up the brook that Corpen collected most of the Rich. forms. To the east of the brook along the shore of Malta, he at Tottel's Cyclorama and maybe a few other things. From the ls become very thin and most of the strata are shales of light grey etc. [314/18] The cliff just south of te Coupe brook has the result Joli shale with the same coals that seem early the fault n slip gone there the small bit of eras and add them to the list 1905 or 1906. Along Malta into Joli hills B14/19 Far the east, or about so far this occurs a coal breech of Ladoga with Turozites and the Bliths Nellen like cup coals. That led is about four feet thick. These last two gns lie to the N. of te Richmond, and on faulted the contact between the Rich. and the Joli seems here as was determined in 1906. Malta Still further E along come in crumpled thin redder sandstones, striking the N 70 W. Stuff great thickness and yields no fossils. Then interbedded with sl gns and loths differ from the typical Joli beds. ? There are few Pic d'Amu SS. of that area
