December 25 - 1923 Tuesday
A fine bright and cool morning, and
Drtn Dunbar calls for me on the
Tnd to take me to the depot. Checking my
trip up to Washington, had breakfast
at the depot, and 8 A.M. I am off
New York City. Set due at 9.45 and
at 10:30 at the Pennsylvania Station.
At 10:10 I am off for Washington where
I should arrive at 3:20 this afternoon.
Put up at the Park Hotel corner
of Pennsylvania and Eighteenth st. This
is to over by the White House.
Then hurried up to the Reith's to have
Christmas dinner. They had four other guests:
one a young man studying to be a priest.
Mrn Reith telephoned around to have the
Oerrills, and Easton call but they had their
own guests and could not come. Mr and Mrs
Marins Campbell called. It was a very
enjoyable evening. At 11 P.M. called back to hotel.
