Hole and in it has been found according to Breese several specimens of brown am- onites, near two specim. Riddle thinks the age of this anhydrite is Cretaceous. The results he completes with the Fidsia dolomite. This locality of the diamond drill hole is 90 miles Ch. W. of Salem City, It is a most interesting find and some thrilling climatic results should come out of it. The climate was dry and apparent- ly very arid; during the winter the anhydrite was thrown down; this, in the light of the matter. The tomb appears to be graded in Cretaceous years.
