March 14-1924, Tuesday, Friday.
Packed up during the morning and adjusted final matters for my departure for Marathon, Texas, late tonight. Then had farewell lunch with Professor Horganow and his family. Got back to the Santa Rita by 3:30. Spent rest of afternoon reading.
Spent the evening at dinner with Dr. Clement and his wife. The other guests were Dr. Parsons, Dr. Cherriman and A. Butler. Had an interesting evening. Mrs. Clement paints our own wild flowers and has long been out on her head and out abroad on wild flowers of the Rocky Mts. Published in New York in two forms, plates with text four pages of text, and another with some text. The next book is to be by herself on Wild Flowers of the Pacific Coast.
