Tucson, Sunday Jan. 5-1925 Arrived at 6.15 A.M., and put up at once at the Santa Rita Hotel. Tuesday, Thursday Jan. 15-1925 It rained considerably during the night and this morning the desert looked wet, the air is much clouded, and the mt tops are white with a thin snow. It remains clouded most of the day, and gets colder. Snow storms once during the day in the mts, but nothing falls in the desert. At 4.30 I start my first lecture in the course Stratigraphic Geology.
