Saturday En Route, New Orleans, Jan 3 - 1925 Left for New Orleans on time at 9.30 A.M. Was transferred to Southern Pacific at Union Station. Checked my baggage and walked to the rim front of Canal Street. When I started the sun was shining and shone on the shade side of the street. It did clouded and got cool, saw two steamers of the United Fruit Co going out and one Coffee steamer unloading. Left back to the depot and at 12.10 P.M., dem off in the Sunset Limited. If all goes well I will be at Tucson at 6.00 A.M., Monday. Shortly after starting west it began to rain, and it rained hard for 3 hours when it cleared into a sunny evening. We are stilly rest at about 3.5 miles per hour. The train kept on time and at 8.30 P.M. got Tr Red.
