Oats, at Inzagatal Peak ad north to North Peak the end
of Inzagatal Range. The river is across the valley with
the houses of Arlantis Mine in the near foreground. Just
defore are gft to the mine we see much Archeogric
schist.
The climb dies and across an rim ridge run Page
Creek.
When one gets to within two miles of Pagon me see
[illegible] horizontal (Devonian)
surface quartz in a fine grained maroon sandstone. From
here one picks up a fine creek for 20 miles north to the great
escarpment of the High Plateau.
Film 1-6 is a view across to the Plateau.
Had lunch at the Pagon Lodge. Pagon is granite.
4 1/2 miles out of Pagon on the road to Pine are again
quartz of the horizontal maroon sandstone. The road is in
the Verde River. The sandstone overlies the benched granite.
I photo the contact Film 1-7 and 1-8. The section back
Granite, coarse dark red.
Red conglomerate of Archeogric quartz (1/4 inch) and layer
grey quartz up to 1 inch. Some are small rounded and the large
pieces cut out are [illegible] carrying them in no feldspar or in the clay.
Red brown-red ded coarse to fine sandstone 40'-50'
fine to white sandstone 15'
Impure li, (some lithographic), some sandy and a
