42 Grand Canyon Cedar Mountain (Vistula Quad) Like Ref. Pap. 131B, 1922. The place or rather is 2 m. east of the Canyon Rim near Desert View Camp. It is 3 to 4 miles across country from Desert View Camp. There is a formal trail. This Camp is 15-miles E. of Grand View. Shinarump Camp. Upper Triassic 25' Siccicous cmpl. with jaspen beds = grnd wood. After the 2 or 3 mile trip. Moenkopi formation Lower Triassic 480' After +60' gr. and ch. Chalk, reddish Ligninatus li 1' Half calcareous grs. 15' Sandstone 4' feet Ironstone 2 feet. Kaitak li. Permian Fossils abundant top but are rare.
