Angell creek. Made notes elsewhere. Then cracked along the foot path northeast to Jarafai Point that is also known as Grandeur Point. Here again is a wonderful snap of scenery on either side of Bright Angell Creek. Off to the west is an opacious Trinity Creek. I must return to this place to morning morning to do photography. When Jeff Travel to the Hotel Sturgeon had returned from Hermit Camp, he had little to say, altogether too little to be satisfactory. As for Belter he is as gloomy and selder as a pop. It is a waste of effort to help this funny man. I complained of him to Sturgeon, and was greatly surprised yesterday to see him go down the Her- mits trail without a hammer. When one stopped to look at things Belter sat down and held his head. Too tired to be interested, and fat he is getting fat on the trip.
