Judy saw ACW's r starlings in the hi hole in tree W of groan. Also interest in the "helper" hole in groan 5 Apr Judy reports starlings in the hole 10 Apr 0720 Bird flushes from near "helper" hole (E-fac, main groan) 1100 No one in hole 11 Apr 1745 Spying from far away I see 2 birds go to the uncut down facing hole in the SW pointing limb in the groan. The hole has a string. 19 Apr 1800 Bird in ↑ hole 20 Apr 0930 Cut open hole (nice!) 6 eggs (5+1runt) opaque, (hatch soon?) 22 Apr 0915 RL = 3.7 LL = 4.5 RW = 4.3 Runt egg gone. OF the 2 remaining eggs, I was infertile - other looked OK but not pipped. Its mouth was open, tongue dried & shriveled.
