6/21/79 PACKED CAMP AT Strand Fjord ready to leave by 12 m. Low Fog prevented pilot from landing went on to Eureka to refuel. Returned at 21:30 p.m. and found clear conditions. Flew over Pt Margaret Range looking at huge central Ax Heiberg ice fields Flew to Whitsundy Bay then north to Mokka Fjord and after pass over proposed field area of Bydve River pilot could not land as his plane still on skis and ice had gone off small lakes on ground. A. Imbrig met Ashton Imbrig of GSC at their camp west of Eureka reached by wading. Fortunately their helicopter had arrived at 8:30 with pilot willing to fly us. Made it in 03 trips slinging cargo.
