Temp +3°C WESTERN EXPOSURES abt 3/4 mile N of STRATHcona Fiord Base of Upper NM sect of E.S. fm Exposed Series of coals w interbedded friable grey & ferruginous yellow fgs ss siderite nodules above u just below coal intmss on W side of Valley E dip of section brings up the marine sequence. This consists of interbedded coals, siltst & marly vfs ss some of which is indurated. One ledye found which breaks hor, roots, showing plants in place. Shells found in siltst 'marine' should be understood as Fluvio-marine probably deltaic.
