7/13/79 7951 Polka sample from II bedded silty, splay deposits 12 m above prominent coal forming black dip slope wall on W margin of the out crop arc. Walking down to this point along dip slope wall found 14 logs/trunks w/ 1-2 mm growth rings, all coniferous. +1 limb sect. SPLAY w/ many horizontal logs + limbs (light sized) in coarser interbeds. I large 3x3' block mdd. yell grey fr. water is or marls. block found in slope wash on E dips face. Contains mollusks + wood. Rare 1 marly bed occurs in sequence abt 70' above [illegible] Dip Slope Coal.
