on the skeleton, made rapid progress and found it to be about 30 feet of the tail end of a sauropod [This is the second specimen in the restoration set up by Lucas]. Nov. 7-96 Saturday. Worked until nine a.m. on the sauropod when rain stopped all work for the day. By noon it cleared and if it were not for the soft nature of the "prairie" I would have gone out with excavating this afternoon. At 4 P.M. a steady cold night rain can set in. Rain stopped about midnight, considerably colder. Nov. 8-96 Sunday. A cold Sunday. Asked for sauropod on the "Eldora" patch but said none.
