Oct 7-96 Left Bashington Wednesday night at 10.43 arriving in Birmingham Thursday night at 10.10, Oct 9-96. Started out in the morning for plants in East Lake a park six miles east of Birmingham. A good many of the plants are from cret ground around the lake but many of them are also found on the chicle forests and in woods. Returned to the Morris hotel at 2 P.M. Inspected the plants in the drive until 3.15, then had dinner and at 4.15 left for Meridian Miss, arriving there at little after 10. Oct 10-96 Collected plants in the morning on
