Collected in the morning at the
abandoned quarry at the southern end
of Eveleth The base of this quarry
is probably six feet lower than the
southern end Dakota quarry. Besides
Orthella fritya (picture of quite a
number of Lingulella angula.
The Orthella and Lingulella
beds seem to me to be the equivalent
of these L. angula beds over
the Eau Claire trilobite beds
at the Shawtown quarry near
Eau Claire, Wis. Of this time
then our horizons D and C are
closely related stratigraphically but are
distinct geologically.

It also contains a few fossils
of the Lower Ordovician fauna
Minneiska Minn.
