One time a bird went to a new hole in the suspect tree, but didn't go in. I kept watching, and though there were other birds in the area (they're storing in this tree - the main granary's full), there was no more interest in the hole. Birds were however repeatedly visiting the PO tree down from the granary. Will watch it some. Fucking rapidograph. Found it: the old hole w white webbing, Bird at hole.
