The 44 (at least one of em) was-were spending a lot of time at the 85 nest hole. Roesting: 3 birds here (though maybe an extra came by: small chase. Twice in the half hour before roosting. a bird went to the 85 nest hole and peck-drummed at the entrance, and then moved up. Check for mice. 27 Mar Check hole in am. Full of water & shit. Cleaned it out. 31 Mar roost: Katy reports bird in hole upon revival, but they roosted elsewhere. 5 April Acorn Count 131. (Roasted in 85 hole) 6 April Ambush at 85 hole Failed. Try net + Tevvy. These guys are real homebodies. 9 April Tried netting this afternoon. No luck 1 May 1400 Nice fresh chips, but hole w/o eggs (85 hole) 4 May 1330 Still empty: 2 acorns. 8 May 1545 "
