1987 M. Stanback 2 M. Formicivorus UAZ HNHR (7 April) that it had about 6" of water inside. I cleaned it out (I hope it wasn't their water Fountain!). I tried to peep in #41 but couldn't. Maybe next time. I then went & checked 86b hole in the live granary. Nice condition, with a couple semi-fresh turds. 9 April 0900-0930 Lots flycatching here (ACU, starling, scrub jay) Hear oriole too. Some intruders (or just competition??) There are at least 6 birds here. I saw ACUs supplant & chase starlings 4 times. Lotsa activity, but no sign of nesting here at gran area. But... I saw birds in the vicinity of 85b nest, so I'll move. 0835-0910: at 85b, at 0845 a bird went to tote, but didn't look in. There were other birds around, so it made displayed and moved on. They do alot of flycatching from this tree. Scrub jays here too. Moved back to gran for a few minutes, now its 0930, I'm back at 85b. No action. Climbed 85b nest. 2 eggs. Poor not big enough so I had to make new one. Marked eggs w DAP. 10 April 1130 3 eggs. Today's marked 3, yesterdays 1 or 2. A bird was in the hole (down) on arrival. Incubating? Needs a watch. 1240-1340 Nest watch. No one came. Left blind 11 April 1300 That kind of day. No 4th egg. Have I ruined them? 12 April 1300 Bird in hole. Stubborn. And 4 eggs. Measurements → (removed blind - I think incub has begun)
