1987 M. Stanback M. Fermicivorus FAAR HNHR (11 Sept) 87a nest hole for 5 mins and several other birds looked in. A q looked into the starling hole below it and several birds went to the snag hole below or to the left of it. A pair of starlings is hanging out in the broken limb hole nearby (where I guess the spring starling nest was) and had a few run ins w the Acws 16 Sept 0740-0755 Watched 87 hole & environs for nestiness. None! Changed positions. q 1319 From A1(old H) landed in granary. Lax response by FAAR birds. Also saw q 835. Saw q 834, q 1023, q 1249. 23 Sept 0800-0830 Watched for nestiness - none. Just stoving. Saw q 834 5 Oct 1050-1100 Watched holes. At 1055 bird landed at 87 nest, sat outside @ 30 sec, went in. About 30 sec later a bird came out. 1130 Climbed - empty, but nice Fresh chips. & Oct 1800 Good ID of q 1024 up near womans land 14 Dec Acorn Count: P.O. tree N along fence: 50 burned: 392 86 nest 500 total 87 nest 210 main: 2970 (?) Saw q KW/W =1249 q WMV/M = 834(?)
