(:. 26 min of incub - 30 sec head out) (There's a starling nest ripe for picking tween FAAR & A1) 2 May 0930 3rd egg numbered. Bird in hole on arrival 5 May 0845 Only 2 eggs in hole! 12 May 0930 Empty. Cleared starling starts out of the 2 nearby holes. 19 May 1030 Found new nest. Ug! Its in the hole at the end of the snag in the 86 tree. 23 May 1500 Cut open hole. Empty! 29 May 1100 - 1120 Spied awhile. No one at new hole - or any hole. 30 May 10 June 1030 Bird at hole (the new one I cut out) 11 June 0800 Checked hole ... empty except for a bat. 21 June 0945 I sat outside bat hole, then flew away! 0950 Acorn Count: 50 in E granary! 4 July 0800 Nest hole: dir 109, asp 117, slpang 25, CBH 365 hol ht 9m, CNH 135, ang 7Q, sp valley, TA, LA, ST Bat hole: dir 363, asp , slpang , CBH , hol ht 8m CNH 60, ang 30, sp , TA, LD (illegible), [illegible] this is 86 nest tree.
