1987 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus Arnold I HUNHR 9 Jan 0900 Acorn Count: 2573 in main tree 26 Feb 1045 Acorn Count: A three sided count rendered 2000 acorns. I think I was more thorough on 9 Jan. Birds seen: 9 568, 9 1319 for sure. I also thought I saw 9 M LB. This may just have been 1319 again. These 2 99 were vicious toward titmice. They were on Jan 9 as well. An unbandd 9 showed up in the granary, but was chased away by one of the residents. 6 April 1300 Acorn Count 1925 Saw 9 LB-Y/Y-LB and 9 M/£W^ . They scolded me alot, just like last time. They don't appear in the Field list. Somethings fucked here. 'Whoops! that's 1319 (the second one) 7 April 1445 A 9 at the 86 hole. Another 9 sitting nearby. Considering group composition, p.o, etc, I'll opt for an egg toss watch. 8 April 0650-0730 No action at hole. Intruders. M.g. ? 14 April 1100-1145. No interest in holes that I could see (From N) Just lots flycatching. Some intruders or m.g. too. Not hanging out in granary very much. As I'm leaving, a bird looks in the hole, then flies away. 15 Apr. 1400 9 M Flies to hole - Goes in, then moves up the I'm and sits for a while. Fucking rapidograph. 17 April string breaks, put up new one. Bird at hole. 18 April 1400 Al is fucked. The new string broke. Some- things up there stop the string • Hope
