1987 M. Stanback 6 M. formicivorus B50K HNTLR 6 July PO hole and the knot below it. Saw only 2 kids blue red (1408 1410) At one point, red but got pecked by a NOLD baby (1408?) An adult 9 (1007) begs like a baby (From 1190) → however, 1410 was outside the hole looking in r — pecked at him from the inside, so I'm not sure it's a legit dom interaction. Also seen: 426, [illegible] 1004, 1006, 1007, 1009, 1190. Oh yes, B50K birds were hanging out across the road below A1. 8 July 0930 - 1120: 1408 fed lots by 1190, 1408 >> 1410, thought I wasn't thoroughly convinced. I'm getting very suspicious... there are adult birds hanging around the PO hole and knot hole below it (esp) almost all the time. If it was just 1 hole, I'd say nest, but, 2? And with babies in it too? (but see Y) 14 July 0845 NSS at the 'trial' hole over in the B50K. Limb death. No gran. Dir 300, asp 20, CBT = 465, slp 15, hel ang 20, ht = [illegible], dep: [illegible], CHH = [illegible] 0900 - 0950 Saw kids 1408 + 1410. At one point they were sitting close to each other begging from a 9, but neither took a real swipe at the other. But 1408 may have been more defensive (maybe this was because he had just gotten beat up by 9 (1004). During this time I heard 5 bouts of alarm calling (4 in 1/2 hr) 25 Aug 0930 I saw a bird fly from KOUT to B50K 11 Sept 1120 Saw 744 - 1212 along w several other birds in the woods at the LA2 corner of the territory 1200 Helloed holes - nothing
