BKOK
HUNHR
10 April 1030 Bird at P.O. hole on arrival. Went inside.
1500 Climbed. Empty - there were wood peelings + a
little moss inside. I left it. Too much P.O.!
12 April 1630 - 1730. Spied unsuccessfully. A bird seemed
to flush from the hole toward Lower Bian. I set the
blind. A nice new hole is being built facing wsw.
in the tree just S of the lower snaggy tree. It's
in the base of a stump.
13 April 1420 Damn, I'm good. The far hole in the BKOK is
the one. 9 1190 was working feverishly on it, bringing
out mouthfuls of chips. 8 426 could also fit
inside, so it must be getting ready. There was also
a third bird in attendance. See map on back. →
14 April 1230 Came by and bird was in hole. Put up string.

20 April 1300 Hole empty (no bird in hole on arrival - but
they have worked on it since 18 April.) On
my way out, though, there was a bird sitting at
the 86 a hole. But this hole looks blocked up.
21 April 1100 Bird in hole on arrival but hole still empty!
22 April 0900 No one in hole on arrival, hole empty - fresh chips indoor.
24 April 0930 Ditto. What's up? They seem to be mate guarding. A
bird went to the p.o. hole after visiting the knot. (Another bird
also went to the knot.
