1987 M. Stanback 2 M. Formicivorus R1. Wolfpack HNHR 14 May I've mopeded by several times today. The birds spend almost all their time in the Wolf sycamore and the Wolf tree on the W side of the road. Considering that 1) I haven't ID'd these birds and 2) I missed Wolf's stoves, these could be Wolf! 16 May 0650 Watched the hole (Wolf) For awhile, and a bird went in. 20 May 0845 Bird flies to hole as I drive by. Walt checks it later - it's still empty! 27. *Update* See Field list for what's up here and at Wolfpack - sorry to disappoint you folks, but there's more than 2 birds at Wolf. I've seen multiple birds at both groups, and also birds flying from one to the other (though I'm not saying there's only 1 group) 17 Aug Geez Folks. OK, there's 2 NOBA ♂♂ with a ♀ MW at the big lone snags downstream from Finch. These seem to be R1 birds. Cruising closer to R1 itself, I find more rather animated birds, among them F1248 (LBDB/BW). The activity is more on the PO Hill side of the creek than near the guanay. I did see a banded ♂ at Wolf (lite-dark/M). 18 Aug 0800-1200 Well, it seems to be a power struggle here in the R1 area. Or maybe a territory split. Anyway the R1 ♂♂ seem to be holding down the granary pretty well, with the help of several NOBA ♂♂ and an NOBA juvenile (Missed the nest). Anyway, the
