They spent time near the Blm 3 windless & near the windmill wiewdness. 7 Sept 0925-0945 Saw 8 584 and a 9 w MT (I think) is this 9 1035? 9 Sept 1630 The N tree is covered in acorns, the S tree has almost as many, and the near live (?) oak has lots too. Keep eye out for Fall nest!! 10 Sept 1715 Checked 87 nest hole and the other too - nothing. Neither hole had Fresh chips. St'll spending lots of time over the gulch (toward Blm 3) Not surprising considering "Windmill." Before climbing I saw 8 1307 at the windmill For water 13 Sept 1125-1150 Watched dark hol. From a distance - a bird worked on a new hole in the limb that I usually stand on when I'm at the old nest. To visit's to the 87 hole. I walked by and a bird flushed from a high hole in a small snag in the 87 tree directly over the wood pile on the SE side of the tree. 15 Sept 1730-1800 Watch For nestiness. Nothing, but when I walk to the tree, get flushing from same place. 19 Sept 1700 Set string, climb, peep hole. Empty. Oh yes, this am I watch one hr. Saw a bird go to the hole. Also saw 9 1035.
