29 April 1030 Hole still empty. I think they're elsewhere
5 May 1430-1530 Spied on the group. They were
hanging out in the tree uphill From the "holey"
tree and occasionally going to the granary. No
one landed in the holy tree. I scouted For
holes in various trees w/o luck. I climbed my
'new' hole in the holy tree - just had some
new mouse crud. The 86 a hole had what
looked like a starling start - which I threw out.
6 May 1330-1430 Still no luck!
11 May 0600-0630 Spying. They are garricking + drumming
What is going on? I Find it hard to believe that
they're just getting started. Western Tanager.
14 May Spent an hour here this am, w/o luck.

27 May 1445-1525 Boo, (watching later saw bird go up canyon)

These birds are ranging into the live oaks by the windmill.
Lots of sitting still, and no sign of juvs! 8 13"x2
He seems to have lost bands on his right leg
Is there a Finch effect going on here or what?
9 July 1450-1510 Did + listened for kids, but no one showed.
15 Aug Still has plenty of acorns stored. Found nest!
