1987 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus Central Canyon HNHR 27 June 1300:ish. A group here! A NOBA ?, another ?, and a NOBA ?. They didn't fly toward Ref 1, but did move up to Blm 1 once, but mostly went to the live trees just up the canyon from the big dead tree (where they like to sit) see also Blm 1 notes, Ref 1 notes. 28 June 1045 Cruised by. saw 1 bird in live oak but no ID. Both live r valley oaks in the ravine have lotsa acorns. 17 Aug 1000 No sign of birds here 24 Sept 1000 Lone bird in top of cc dead tree. Maybe just a spillover From the Blm 1 power struggle. 27 Sept 0645 2 birds here. Still spillover ? 11 Dec 1210 (? ) ACW seen building roost hole in E side of deaf tree. View From Ref ( ) Only 1 bird seen. hole is just below broken divot hole Faces NNE 1210-1235. Yes, A NOBA ?, seems to be alone. Making hole.
