Diplocerum = Hyphis in which minor Scales have not enlarged
to form a perigynium. Diplocerum does not really
differ from Selaria (intermedia types of hyppisnes occur in Selaria
Diplocerum). Hyppiseae and Selereae of Pax (Siegler 41)
are scarcely separate, if at all... Colythrea = Hyphis in
which scales have not enlarged = Diplocerum ?

3xFlowers attached to subtyle dine. Three bracts
close to flowers; three others, singly compressed outside,
All subtended by an outer Cartilagineous host. Clarke
Pfeiffer (1925) are entirely wrong. Structure as in Rhyz-
ochrosma althythrum ; a single perfect flower with
enveloping bracts.
