91 Aristida ligutha (no.-). Dry sandy oak woods S of Westchester, with A. (no.). A. ligutha not recorded from Tennessee in Sullivan's, or Hitchcock, Kepp. 950. Phlyium Hydripurordo f. triplex. (no.). This is apparently the common form of the Phlyium in the water of shellbed ponds. Though not cited from the Southern states by Sheppard, it is included in Missouri by Palmer & Styermark. Sept. 23 (Friday). Prosperpenaectriate(no.). streamwater Prosperp-aea palustris (no.). deepwater Sistela brevifolia Ref. (no.). Abundant in Shell's water. This is undoubtedly the plant previously called q. rousey by Kennell or my Tulleahoma collec- tion, and the frequent species in the Manchoter area. Only a single previous citation from Deun. (Sellery, Tullahoma). Sinking Pond Swamp. Aug 20. Quercus palustris (no. ituminamericana (no.) and Q. cyrata (no.), are the large trees. Cornus racemosa (no.) and Itea virginica form the underbrush. At west end of Swamp, Carya typhina, not previously recorded by Underwood from Deun. (no.-).
