Monchestr, Sept. 21. (Saturday) 87 Eriocanthus giganteus (no. ). Forming large clumps in rather deep water; only 1 clump in flower. Dunnesse; See Hitchcock, Map. 1616. Utricularia gibba (no. ). Circle 7-11 mm. wide, bright green. (May have long cordon 6-8 mm. (root). not U. biflora which is a much larger, taller plant. Panicum virgatum (no. ). the East side of pond along road. Typified form. Hypericum adpressum (no. ). Shallows water at east end. The ban [?] of the plant is sprouty, but the cymes are now numerous - flowered than in its mother material. It is probably the no. 3. fastigiatum (ell.) J.r.S. H. Nth. 673 (1840). The leaves are long, with acute, then 5.5 cm. x 8mm. Sept. 17 (Sat.). Hypericum.
