The pods of aurea have fewer seeds, are comparatively flatter, but little constricted between the seeds and thinner in texture. I have found thousands of Michauxii which is very plentiful around Nashville and looked closely for years whether I could find a yellow one but I am not sure that there is no intermediate forms." Michauxii has purple petals with a yellow eye, sometimes more sometimes less distinct." L. stylosa and turulose only from Nashville. L. uniflora. Charlestona Sd. [Only known station] Clarks G.
