Oct. 15 (Cont.) Tullahoma (Trouble Co.) June 24 (with Acacia, etc.) Drosera brevifolia ? Panicum curtislim Scleria pauciflora Panicum consanguineum P. triplinum Oct. 16 - Nov. 22 Completed res. of Viburnum and Hypericum. Nov. 23 (Wednesday) Calamintha glabella? Setureja globella (Michx.) Brignet, This species, described from the opposite river banks in the vicinity of Nashville by Michaux (H. B.-Dm. 1, 13 (1803)) as Cunila globella is one of the conspicuous of the cedar flats toward the last part of the flowering season, in sunny conditions. The flats there it is an erect plant (as Michaux noted) reaching nearly 5 dm. and accompanied by Lelie guttata, Hypericum sphero-carpo, Arenaria patula, Desmanthus illinoisensis, and Cleochoris compressa. Ascending shoots come frequently from the base, but I have not found the plants to be stoloniferous. In well-developed specimens, the leaves in the middle of the stem are distinctly, often large concelt (not oblong), the flowers frequently reach the dimensions mm long and 9 mm. in diameter with at least one 25/1 x 9 mm. wide. The calyx (4-5 mm. long) slightly exceeding the pedicels is caught a little lower than the pedicels.
