# South East Harford Mills Section July 29th, 30th This section begins in a creek 1/4 miles South east of Harford mills about where the Ford up the Creek enters turns into main valley road or on a red barn at an elevation 150 feet. a Covered b Grey ish fissile shales with thin bands grey massive S.S. lenses c Grey S.S. layers with dark grey shale capped with thin f d alternate layers of grey Sandstone & ch. S.S. f Bluish grey sh. S.S. South East Harford Mills Section This section begins at the mouth of a S.E. N.E. creek opening into East Branch Quecks Crk. Valley 1/4 miles S.E. of Harford mills The first outcrop is in the creek about 70 paces from where the road to the turns out off the Indian Road and behind a red barn. July 29th or HD 12 9 a Covered Bas 11 & 2 ft. b Greyish fissile shales with thin Cubito bluish grey S.S. capped with 2" 10' c Grey S.S. layers with dark grey shale capped by 6" massive S.S. (Bas. 12 to #) 18' d Grey sh. S.S. capped or 6" 10' e Alternate layers of grey heavy S.S. and shale 8' f Bluish grey sh. S.S. unfit for iron in lodes, end 7' g July 30th Bas. (12 to #) g h Reddish grey flaky shale S.S. with thin bands of Chalks 5' i Dark grey rather compact shale 7' j Dark grey sh. S.S. with leg like banders 9' 13' k Dark sh. S.S. 7 should 10'
