1985 Mark Stanback M. formicvoros BLM I Hastings Reservation 16 June 0910 After helloing up all the trees to the NE of the granary, I climbed BLM Knoll and flushed a woodpecker from the tree that bluebird box 211 is found in. I couldn't find any hole, and even climbed the tree. 17 June 0730 peeped into low knot-hole described on 10 June. It was wet and slimy. Peeped into hole between Laguna Caneo and abandoned rest. It had a feather in the entrance, but was incomplete 0800 found nest (looking from BLM Knoll) In granary tree in low limb facing NE. Cut it open, no eggs. 18 June 0530 Checked nest: nothing inside 0730 During this time (0530-0739), no birds even went near the hole. They hung around the granary and the "woods" behind the granary. 19 June 0745 [illegible] bird (♀ 968(?)) seen at BLM 2 immediately after at least 5 birds were seen there. There was
