There's a starling nest 2 feet below the ACW's. 1600 ACW in hole! I climbed to try to terminate starlings but no luck w nooses or tongs. 21 Apr. 1645 A small power struggle! The birds tolerate me near the granary. Lotsa garricks, chasing, some drumming. At least 2 intruders, but I didn't get a chance to ID them; the CVGR birds do a good job of keeping the intruders out of the granary. Chases taking place both to the N and S. The GRAN birds weren't in their granary, but one of them did flush from nest. No one in CVGR nest. I terminated the starling nest. 23 April 1830 Bird at hole. Another nearby. But I walked by have several times today and belloed w/ no luck 24 April Bird in hole 25 April 1430 opened hole - empty - must be egg tossing? 26 April 0615 - 0720: lots of activity at the hole. Both JS and 98 spent time inside. Didn't see any tossing.
