Nest hole low on N side of snag.
Coopers hawk caught
jumping bushes robin, scared AWP.
This tree is an artificial granary
7 April 1430 checked hole that birds were in yesterday
Looks like an owl nest (old) Fur inside,
a skull at entrance - hole was just big
enough for me to get my hand in. Could
it be that the ACW's are still shopping, and
the bird inside yesterday was just hiding
From the hawk? Sue said she didn't see
action here this am.
18 April Set ambush r cut open hole. Limb sorta
rotten - very weird. Sue tells me later the
4 went in, then the 8 got upset, she came
out.
17 April 0900 A bird was sitting worriedly near the hole
I took the ambush down and watched for ½ hr.
No birds returned.
20 April 1700 Saw 2 NOLD birds in the Five pool trees. One
went to 1500
