Lots of holes for roosting, nests. I count 7 from where I now sit. 1205 Only one bird yet seen. Spooked and flew NE when it noticed me. Not very many storage holes. These present (ie visible from where I now sit) without acorns. 1215 hear chrrrring to ESE 1218 tapping vocal to E 1222 waka to SW 1223 2 birds heard waka to E 1225 1 bird close to W 1228 .. 1335 I have been watching this group since about 1230 (At least) five birds have appeared at once. They are very shy and my trees are thick here. Of the two birds (?) I only saw the legs of two (?) birds clearly. (a ?, a ?, and a ? later) Neither of these birds were banded. ? arrived with Food in beak, ate later 1345 .35 miles W of the C.V. gate I saw a woodpecker fly N overhead toward school hill
