One of the babies not only stuck his head out,
but also actually made intention movements to
fly (ie put part of his body out of the hole
and rocked back v forth.
24 June 0715-0830 There are at least 3 babies
hear, though I identified only 1020 and
probably 1018 (I thought I saw
y-r M on L, and some red on R)
I mostly hunted for 2nd nest but
was unsuccessful.
30 June 1530-1630 Census. Birds seen:
Adults: 568, 505
Babies: 1018, 1019, 1020, 1021
21 Aug 1000 No sign of nesting activity. Few acorns
