1985 Mark Stanback M. formicworm Black Oak Hastings Reservation 9 June 0850 - 1050 Census 426, 774, 1025, 2 unbanded females Babies seen 1004, 1005, 1007 24 June 1130 - 1210 I saw an adult bird sticking its head out a hole in the big tree at the upper end at the area near where you come in. The nest is in the 2nd hole up in a line of 4. Its in a limb that has a big (?) in it near the holes. A string was set up but didn't go near the hole so I spent my time moving the rope closer to the hole. The hole looks like its been opened, but upon examination seems to have closed shut? 26 June 1030 - 1215 I climbed up to check the nest. I had seen the bird sitting in the hole above the bottom hole, but upon examination, I found them to connect. The lower hole has more recently been opened but was still very grown over w new' bank, etc. Inside
