1985 Mark Stanback M. formicivorus W. Gate HNHR 26 June 1000 Saw a bird in the top of granary 28 June 1500 Two birds in top of granary. N010 29 June 0900 Gate birds (627 v 1097) seen in W. Gate tree. Hanging out there 18 Aug 1400-1445 A census of sorts (of Gate birds) All birds seen. Only 4 identified, but did see 5 birds together. The adult ♀ had a slightly discolored breast (making me think of incubation) Also, the ♂ + ♀ didn't appear together often making me further suspicions of a "fall" nest. A short nest search turned up nothing (no activity, at the Gate nest either)
