1985 Mark Stanback M. formicworma Forsaken Ridge HNHR 8 July Opened nest. Found 3 babies. Wts 43 g, 41 g, 10 g 9 July 1800 Removed largest (50g) and smallest (10) babies 10 July 1300 Smallest baby died while in my care. It never defecated, though I fed it a considerable amount. Difficulty breathing. Do not again Feed whole mealworms to babies this age, even the 50 g baby could not digest them, passing them unscathed in its feces. 1400 Opened and enlarged hole. Remaining baby in good shape. Feather tracts emerging. 14 July other 2 babies dead - nest abandoned
